Complicated Simplicity

wishlist...summer 2011 edition

some things currently on my wishlist: 

• this bag from LL Bean-i'm thinking it might be just perfect as a camera bag (i've been looking for something that will work since there's no way i'm paying an extreme amount for one of these or something similar)
• Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nailpolish-i'm thinking Raisin the Bar may be my next pick :-)
• a new swim suit-i cannot find one anywhere (i'm kinda super big on top, so i want one with underwire, but i also want cute and not skanky, and one that is a tankini...any suggestions?)
• board shorts-just some cute shorts to wear to the beach and over my suit bottoms that i won't mind getting wet
• a trip to the beach to spend a day just enjoying it and collecting little treasures
• a few new kindle books-including The Help, Juniper Berry (to read with Paul), The Dark Tower VII, and The Silent Land.
• a trip to go swimming-maybe in the river or maybe in a lake...we will be finding a good spot soon

and my Christmas list this year:

• amazon gift cards-seriously that's it...for two reasons: one-we will be traveling for Christmas and bringing only carry-on...not conducive for bringing home gifts two-i really, really, really want to get an iPod Touch 64gb (basically for instagram purposes above all else), and i'm thinking i will save up gift cards from christmas and next year's birthday (if needed) to get the one i want. :-)

some things on my wislist this month

• this trick or treat bag on HSN. so adorable!

 

• these Weck jars on Terrain. they have other sizes and shapes as well...i want to start a collection!

 

• a cross cut board from canoe. there are four kinds of wood and two sizes of each....again I want to start a collection!
   
• Beauty and the Beast on blu-ray. it's my favorite Disney movie and I've been waiting so long for it to come out of the vault (it comes out Oct 5!)!!!

 

• Shelly Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre on DVD. i just found this and I love hese...watched them as kids, and hope my kids (if we ever have any) can enjoy them as well!

 

• Eton hand crank flashlight. I've been thinking about putting together an emergency kit since we live closer to earthquakes and volcanoes now, and this is on the top of my list. It would be great for camping as well.

 

• Eton hand crank emergency radio. again for the emergency kit and camping. These are on the top of my Christmas list this year.

 

• Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. i recently finished Catching Fire and am dying to read the last installment from The Hunger Games trilogy.
