I'm so excited about this! My first creation!!!
Wawa was kind enough to model it for me. :-)
Paul's mom got me a gift card to Michaels for my birthday, which was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to learn to knit and crochet. So, I headed to Borders and used my giftcard (another birthday gift-from Paul's dad) to get a book on crochet and a book on knitting. Then I stopped by Michaels, picked up some crochet hooks, another pair of knitting needles and three skeins of yarn (pink, burgandy and green-my favorite color combo). I spent that evening (last Saturday) learning to cast on and the knit stitch. On Sunday, I started my scarf. I intended to do it in all three colors, but decided I liked the pink and burgandy as is. I gained a couple of stitches throughout the creation of the scarf, but only two stitches isn't so bad. :-)
I've already been dreaming about all of the fun things I want to make for everyone. It's so much fun. Relaxing and time-filling (or taking, as it is right now ;-) and just wonderful.
